I Was Just Listening To Right-Wing Radio Discussing The Bailout Talks |
|
WABC in New York, because that's the only thing I can get in my car (has a really bad antenna - Nissan Sentra). As I was listening, the host (I can't remember his name, John something) had on a Republican house member who was in on the negotiations - Thaddeus something - and he was furious about the bill. He actually, and I'm quoting verbatum, referred to Democrats in the negotiations as "the enemy" and said Republicans were going to lose this issue politically if they went along with it, and that's why they've got to stand in opposition to it, in addition to a whole lot of nonsense about socialism yadda yadda yadda.
The whole "enemy" thing was interesting to me though. If that's how Republicans are approaching negotiations, it's going to be real interesting on the house floor tomorrow.

4. The RepubliCons are furious |
|
because the Democrats are refusing to allow them to pretend this is a Democratic bill. There won't be a bill if the pukes don't support it, they know it and that pisses them off. Even if you hate this bill you've got to love the way the assholes in the minority are painted so well into a corner.

can use it against them in the elections anyone remember that. They are just doing what they were told, someone needs to bring this up and make it more public and keep hammering it so they can be seen for the slime they are!
