Senator Clinton: Are These Gay & Lesbian Veterans "Moral" Enough For You?
Edited on Wed Mar-14-07 09:36 PM by David Zephyr
Can't decide, Senator Clinton? You'll "let others" decide whether or not these brave men and women --- who have sacrificed lives and limbs for our nation --- are "moral"?

Senator Clinton, you can't muster up the courage to say that our gay and lesbian brothes and sisters who are coming home from Iraq in caskets and without limbs and with mental impairment are not "immoral"?

Were they moral enough to go to the war you voted for?

Shame.

1. "Well, I'm really proud of the work they've done . . . "
blah blah blah.

C'mon Hillary! There's no need to equivocate on this! Your collegues aren't. If you stand with us, say so!

2. Surely, you're not suggesting....
... that gay vets be treated like any other vet? :sarcasm:

Lost jobs, shitty medical care, stalled VA claims, etc.

That's an equality nobody needs.

3. I have friends who were discharged for being gay after decades of service.
They don't even get one penny for their service, never mind any veteran care whatsoever.

I appreciate your point, but I know too many former service women and men who suffered humiliation after giving their hearts and minds to serve our nation. They don't even merit Walter Reed...that's how low they are esteemed by our government.

4. And now the question is "what does Sen. Clinton think of them?"
silence does not equal honor.

5. Don't forget those in Afghanistan
I love a gay soldier in Afghanistan very very much. The sad thing is that the partners have no ability to partake in the family services available to all of the other families.

7. This is the HATE HER crowd:
I am not going to respond to her response to that question because even in the one that posted, it all comes back to Iraq. Well folks, i wrote last night and I am here again tonight. So, Damn! it seems to me that so many in here wanna blame the whole damn Iraq conflict on HER and place it all on HER shoulders more so then bush.DAMN!I believe most of HER haters in her believe that Hillary overruled the Joint Chiefs and ordered those troops to Iraq. This has nothing to do with proportion of blame - most folks just hate Hillary's guts and anybody with a hardon to hate Hillary gets the front page in today's climate.

Question: Of all the people screaming at Her today, how many gave Kerry a pass for his vote in 2004? Gee, suddenly the room got reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal quiet.Let's have a show of hands - who forgave Kerry in 2004 for his Iraq vote, but now hates Hillary's f-ing guts for voting exactly the same way he did?

Explain why Kerry got a pass on the Iraq war vote - but she doesn't.And when asked the question: If you knew then what you know now would you still send troops? Hillary answer NO! What did Kerry answered? As clear as day standing at the grand canyon and Kerry answered. YES!

Damn folks most of you are not even consistant with your hatred for HER...

8. I'm sure she would say a lot about their service. No need to keep harping on about their sexuality

9. right, they can die for america, as long as they do it silently and invisibly. uh, when
the gay-haters stop harping about how 'immoral' gays are, and stop trying to deny them equal rights in the country under who laws they live and for which many have served and died, i guess that's when we'll stop 'harping' on their sexuality.

10. Honestly
I never have cared for her, but to me, her answer sounds like she didnt completely understand the question posed to her, or at least answered the question she thought was asked. When she heard her mistake, she sent out a statement to clarify. I dont belieleve for a second taht Hillary Clinton doesnt seem them as moral people.
