Bullied.
The image popped into my mind when I woke up this morning. It was the scene from "A Christmas Story" where Scut Farkus is twisting Flick's arm and Flick is screaming, "Uncle! Unc-aaaaaaaahle!!" to get him to stop.

That's how you make me feel, you powers that be...like Flick. You know who you are: Wall Street and your government friends. You have our collective arm twisted behind our back. You are much bigger and stronger than us. In fact you can crush us any time you wish. Now it's, "Pass the bill or your retirement is gone. Then I'm gonna take away all your jobs". You know we have to scream "Uncle" and hand you our lunch money because, at least for now, we can't defend ourselves against you.

I am against this bailout. The plan is fundamentally flawed because it is more of the same old, top down Reaganomics that got us to this lowly state. But I am also a realist and don't want to be tortured anymore. My parents will be homeless in a matter of months if my father's pension is reduced let alone wiped out. The company I work for needs to have its line of credit in place by the end of the year or we can't function and close our doors. OK, OK - I'm screaming "Uncle" as loud as you want. Pass the fucking bailout and let go of my arm. You get to walk away with the money and the confidence you can still beat me up any time you please. I simply get to walk away...to vote another day.

1. Here Here
You have described my feelings exactly.
Just because they win does not mean it is over.

2. And in the end, they always get what they want and live another day to screw us over.
AGAIN! Standing up to bullies, usually results in them backing down. Doing the opposite only serves emboldens them.

3. That is how I feel. They are going to fuck us no matter what.
If one bill doesn't pass, they will just keep going until they get one that does. The wording may be different, but we are going to get fucked somehow.
