Latest from Murray Waas: Bush shut down investigation of Gonzales
http://news.nationaljournal.com/articles/0315nj1.htm

snip

Shortly before Attorney General Alberto Gonzales advised President Bush last year on whether to shut down a Justice Department inquiry regarding the administration's warrantless domestic eavesdropping program, Gonzales learned that his own conduct would likely be a focus of the investigation, according to government records and interviews.

Bush personally intervened to sideline the Justice Department probe in April 2006 by taking the unusual step of denying investigators the security clearances necessary for their work.

What can one say - it only get worse!

8. I heard this yesterday and I think it is spot on!
There's a big difference between "serving at the pleasure of the President" and "serving THE pleasure of the President"...

15. Worth a kick
:argh:
Every day I think it can't get any worse. And yet it does. These cabal of thugs is flaunting their criminal behavior in our faces and daring us to do something about it. And yet impeachment is "off the table". Are they frikkin kidding us?

16. Impeachment might be put on the table.
If the Dems in Congress can muster up the courage to at least start with Gonzo enough info may emerge to move on to Cheney then Busholini.

17. I am amazed that it ain't there already. War is always on the table.
every freakin national democrat (save Kucinich) repeats that mantra "all options on the table" in regard to Iran... but very few support impeachment.

I think we should collectively overturn those tables in the temple, unless they get their act together.

20. Oh yes, that's obstruction.
They tapped Clinton for that during impeachment - it's only fair that George gets a taste too, for the same thing. Shut the Republicans up by reminding them of that at every opportunity.

22. I would like to personally thank the 109th Do-Nothing Republican Rubber Stamp
Congress for letting another incompetent bush crony wreck another branch of government. I had never realized how unqualified the Alberto was, but apparently his qualification was being a bush crony from Texas. I've heard every thing's bigger in Texas, and apparently that goes for corruption and ineptitude as well. There must be a lesson in all of this: never send a bush-enabler to to a horse show judge's job.

Can you imagine what would be going on had the Democrats not taken over Congress? It gives me chills just thinking about it.

being done to the country, but that's exactly what's happened. Sorry, Molly. RIP.
