When America started this illegal war with Iraq the world stood by and watched.
I watched and waited and hoped that the world would stand up to this illegal invasion but no stand was taken. Now, more than six years have gone by with no hint of an end to this war and not a single payment made on the debt that it has created. As America slips into bankruptcy her tumble will take out those who refused to stand up for what was right so many years ago. They will be forced to pay for the cost of a war that should never have been. For those who stood up and marched against the madness I say thank you. For those too frightened to stand up for what is right I shake my head and wonder how we will all get through this disaster.

1. We'll bumble through somehow
But like the war, lots of people will die and lots of money will be stolen by the people who cause the problem.

Apparently we enjoy being abused, since we just keep taking it.

2. thats the biggest dissapointment. that the united nations is so subservient and ineffective.
that is panders to the powerful, who literally get away with murder, and it is used by those same powerful countries to have their way in the world.

sad.

3. Stood by and watched? Millions protested. Most countries did not support.
France was defamed for its nonsupport of the Bushista invasion of Iraq.

What was the world supposed to do? Try to stop the U.S. militarily?

Don't blame anyone outside the U.S. other than the few countries in the Coalition of the Billing -- chief among them, Tony Blair's Britain.

4. There are as many people profiting from all this in Europe
As there is in the US. Had truly powerful people wanted to prevent it, it would have been prevented.
