hop on over to itunes or This American Life at NPR and listen to show #365, done Friday-- great interviews, easy to understand info. No comfort in it, but at least you'll better understand the news of the day. Peace:

1. its the 2nd show he's done on it
and both are invaluable. i like his show in that you feel he's pacing it at his learning rate, which is the same as yours.

2. It's not as complicated and Paulson and the rest of BushCo want you to believe!
Best to understand it... how it happened, what the bailout is supposed to do, etc. NPR is a good source.

i found some comfort in it.... he said there was some wording in the bill that gave us the ownership in the banks not the loans. i thought that was cool

Particularly the bit about money market funds breaking the buck, and locking down the commercial paper market- and how that afeects Main Street.
