5. WWII in reverse
President is physically fit, but mentally unstable; Economy several miles up Defecation Creek and nary a paddle in sight; U.S. troops scorned as invadaing occupiers

7. I know it's hard to be positive in the face of facts
but let's try to think that maybe things won't get so bad, and maybe with a collective Law of Attraction action going, we might be able to pull out of all this madness.

Okay...I can already feel the flaming.

6. Good point Jackpine Radical
Perhaps it is the leader and not the war that matters more. If that is the case, we are in deep dodo.

I see a serious downturn in our coming economy but I've been wondering if that wasn't the bushes plan all along. I mean if things were to get as bad as they did during the Great Depression, then bush would have every reason to exercise all those extra special unitary executive powers he has so carefully accumulated through the enabling congress.
