"purple-state moderates like Coleman and Gordon Smith" --huh? |
|
Yet more proof that the blogosphere is just as sheltered as the rest of the upper-middle-class media? http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/10/does-mccain-have-cooties.html

1. Experience has shown that Gordon Smith is a moderate when he's up for re-election |
|
Rest of the time? Well, check his record for details!
I'm an Oregonian. Minnesotans could doubtless shed light on Coleman's "true colors".

2. Since when is Oregon (or Minnesota) a purple state? And when is Norm Coleman "moderate"? |

3. Uh, well, I honestly don't know. I was responding to your post, but |
|
when I went on the website you linked I couldn't find the statement you mentioned about Coleman and Smith. Seems I should not have responded, but just wanted to mention that the only time Smith's a moderate is when he's up for re-election and this year in particular it's to his advantage to distance himself from Bush and talk up his (Smith's) "bipartisanship".
Oregon's pretty much a blue state. Trying hard to keep it that way. Can't speak for Minnesota, however.
