4. How bizarre. Never in a million years would have occurred to me that space smelled like anything. |

5. jesus fucking christ...it doesn't smell like anything it's a vaccuum |
|
No air, vaccuum, it doesn't smell like anything. You can't smell a vaccuum because there's no gas in it, it's not air for fuck's sake. Anything astronauts smell comes from the breathing apparatus in their suits, or in their ships.

6. Now don't go bothering people with with all those sciencey facts |

It's more fun to think of a vacuum as having an odor than actually considering that a vacuum might not have an odor.

7. yeah it is more fun to think it smells like...hmm... |

hot buttered bullshit? Fresh microwaved marketing copy? I can see how it's all romantic or something to have a perfume that smells like space, but what they're talking about is more like the smell of "the space program", what an astronaut smells, which is the inside of spaceships and the inside of spacesuits. Probably smells a lot like the inside of an elevator. "Outer Space" is a more marketable perfume name than "Elevator". Well then again Elevator has its own connotations.
