that show is pretty republican when you look at it |
|
rain forests? burn them all because some of the animals are dangerous and anyone NOT wanting to burn them down is a douchebag who abuses children...
Al Gore? Global climate change is just a mythical beast and Al is just trying to prove it exists by mumbling and slvering.
Gays? all crazy whores or sluts and who go around getting sex change operations for stupid reasons.
Drive a hybrid? why then you sniff your own farts.
Blacks? Well, I don't even want to go where they do on that...

6. It's the Libertarian express. |

Too many folks "not in on the Republican loop" get their information from a show that started pretty liberal and exploded into libertarianism once the creators made their billions.
Matt and Trey are gay btw. They insulted transsexuals big time with Mr. Garrison by assuming him a gay who wanted to be a woman. They project that to all transsexuals. My transsexual friend was anything of the sort. She was never "gay" in any way...although now she is a lesbian.

"Smart" guys/gals who are usually quite socially inept. They see "liberal" as the "beautiful people who hated on them telling the how to live" and social conservatives as the freaks they are. When "liberal" became a bad word they tried to take the middle ground. They also see themselves as talented and to be rewarded by such a system.
They really haven't thought out their little proposed system.

12. Yes, Their Lampooning is MUCH more Severe |

when directed at Democrats. But there is a lot of ridicule directed at right-wing sterotypes, too. I think they believe they're evenhanded.
I still watch it, since it's good comedy. It doesn't bother me that much.

If you're applying this to the present Dem candidate, I have to strongly disagree. No candidate will ever be perfect. However, in Obama, he's much better, in terms of progressive policy, than Senator Clinton was. Sure, he's no Kucinich, but who is, besides Dennis?;)

9. I don't think they are |
|
They take on both sides, I think, and that is not such a bad thing.
If you don't accept that people can make fun of you or your ideas, then maybe you take yourself too seriously.
They've taken on the whole "pray the gay out" and it was a pretty good thing.
I do not know about their sexual orientation. Seems to me they are both straight, but what do I know.
My gaydar never beeped on these guys (and yes, it is well calibrated).

16. Many said the same about Gore and Kerry. |
|
Most of us look back at such statements with reasoned disdain, if we didn't already know that it was bullshit. Obama is by no means perfect, but a far, far better choice than McCain. The same would go for any of the candidates from the primaries.
