Has Obama committed to "not conceding" the election when there will be evidence
of voter suppression and tampering? Unlike Gore and Kerry, Obama needs to commit to "not conceding".

9. Exactly. Obama has always been one step ahead.
I'm sure he has a plan in place if the election is stolen but there is no need to expose it yet.

16. I am so glad you are happy in your confidence. I was screwed in 2000 and then again in 2004.
Apparently the Democrats didn't learn a f******** thing in 2000. They keep disappointing me. Mukasey, what? why did they let that bastard in? why?
Now here we are and Lucy is again telling Charlie Brown, trust me, trust me. Well I don't trust you Lucy or the republicans.

WE NEED A CONTINGENCY PLAN, DO YOU UNDERSTAND. The neocon nazi's will not give up power.

8. You're kidding, right?
Setting aside how unlikely it is that we'll have an election so close it's steal-able........

Do you really believe the literal army of Obama supporters will not be ready for action? Do you not have any faith in his and his campaign's ability to organize and mobilize that army they have so tirelessly worked to assemble?

Ye of little faith.

You think I am not wary of 2008? Fine to be confident but also be prepared.

12. my worry too. "Dems" have done zip to protect our vote since the majority was given to them
... by us. I haven't donated to the party since then, just select few specific candidates who are on the case at their own political and financial peril.

21. McAuliffe and OHIO'S weakass Dem party infrastructure did that.
There isn't a Dem in DC with more courage than Kerry and she proves it decade after decade - and even by stepping aside and using his national network for Obama against the Clinton camp.

15. I'm pretty tired of people saying that Gore gave up
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 04:04 PM by book_worm
My God, he didn't concede for 34 days and only after the US Supreme Court made their decision. There really wasn't much he could do after that, I'm afraid. Kerry is another story, he kept saying during the campaign "You got my back" and then knuckled under the day after the election.

20. Baloney - Gore conceded when he thought he was 50,000 votes behind then UNCONCEDED when the math
changed for him. Kerry did not conceded till the election lawyers said there was no legal case they could make without evidence (thanx McAuliffe and weak Ohio Dem party) and the math could NOT make a difference when he was 130,000 votes under.

Kerry's was the SLOWEST concession in history - and second slowest if you count Gore's SECOND concession.

Accuracy when recalling what occurred is a greater help to pinpoint the ACTUAL problems with vote counting, btw.
