8. We do get such freak weather

but fortunately not too often and usually only on a small scale. There was a bad one 4 years ago when a thunder storm was stationary over a small village for hours. Fortunately there were no fatalities greatly helped by RAF helicopters being on the scene in about 20 mintues flat to retrieve villagers from roof tops.
