Sarah Palin's credo: If at first you don't succeed, try and f**k up again.....
from ThinkProgress:

Palin Takes Another Shot At Outlining Role Of VP: ‘They’ve Got To Be Exclusively…Administrative’»

In a recent interview, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) claimed that the vice president was “in charge of the United States Senate.” She added that she was excited to “make a lot of good policy changes.” As ThinkProgress reported, her claim was contradicted by the Senate Parliamentarian’s office and the U.S. Constitution.

Yesterday in an interview with Fox’s Greta Van Susteren, Palin took another shot at outlining the role of the vice president. This time, Palin completely changed her answer:

Well, they’ve to be exclusively, of course, concentrating on the administrative side of governance. And there again, that’s where my executive experience will be put to good use. But John McCain and I have spoken a lot about the missions that we’ll be on together and about where he would like to see me lead. And energy independence is first and foremost what I will be able to help, in a supportive role, be able to help him get this nation firmly on that path towards energy independence.

Palin still doesn’t seem to be clear on what she’ll be doing if elected to office. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews recently became frustrated with Palin’s lack of knowledge, demanding that she “read a job description.” Based on what Palin hopes to be able to do while in office — strong control over both the legislative and executive branches — it seems like it will be a third term of Vice President Cheney. (HT: News Hounds)

Transcript:

VAN SUSTEREN: It’s sort of interesting. There are a couple jobs in government that have no job description. One is first lady. You know, whoever — you know, each first lady sort of defines it herself. We’re going to have to maybe define, you know, what the husband does of a vice president. But the vice president also (INAUDIBLE) sort of defined. We’ve seen Vice President Gore. He sort of made it more active. And Vice President Cheney, as — he’s assumed certain roles, you know. What’s your idea of what — what do you sort of envision the job as?

PALIN: Well, they’ve to be exclusively, of course, concentrating on the administrative side of governance.

2. She really only has one job description for herself, no matter her title:
big chief get to do anything I want.

That's it. It's her raison d'etre for being mayor of Wasilla, Governor of Alaska, and VP candidate. Hell, it's just her raison d'etre period. The concept of public service is as foreign to her as my use of the words "raison d'etre".

3. They Run To Get Elected, Not To Govern...
One reason Bible Spice is so popular with the wingnuts is she's like them in one very big way...fully ignorant and proud of it. Facts have this nasty way of making repugnicans look stupid, thus discard the facts and any talking point will fly. And when you get away with it, you think you're sooooo smart...and continue to do it. For too many years, the corporate media gave these goons a pipeline to spread their "facts" that became virtual Pavolovian talking points for people like Palin...they sprew things they have been told with no comprehension as to what it means.

The right wing revels in its arrogance as well...another reason Caribou Barbie has been a hit. She can spew the venom with the best of 'em and it just "feeels so good" to hit 'em as far below the belt as possible. Their parallel universe has created a total vacuum in which their lies and slime become gospel and anyone who dares to question it is considered "the enemy". It's always been winning at all costs and nothing more.

The repugnicans have proved they cannot govern. Their regime has run a patronage system that led to unprecedented corruption and is on the verge of driving thier party into near destruction. The big loser on Tuesday will be the "Raygun legacy"...trickle down is dead, tax and spend no longer works and when people think of another 4 years of the same destructive economic and military policies, it makes them sick.

In essence, does it matter what Palin thinks her future job could be? We saw over the past 8 years that it's become a black hole...so how do you explain that?

Cheers...

:hi:
