Volunteers use social networking to monitor voter experiences
A coalition of volunteers, tech companies and online news outlets have banded together to create a real-time vote-monitoring Web site built on the social networking tool Twitter.

The micro-blogging service allows users to post short updates from cell phones or the Web. TwitterVoteReport.com is aggregating posts from individuals sharing their experiences, to document polling locations where Election Day is running smoothly or where there are long lines or faulty machines.
