What would you choose if you could only have one |
|
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 10:58 AM by Bandit
The entire Bush* Cabal gets indicted and found guilty of their crimes and has serious jail time, and I mean all, Rove, Cheney, Bush* Wolfowitz, Feith, Rummy, etc. Or Obama to win the Presidency. Remember in this little game only one can happen..

1. Only one will happen and that's Obama winning |
|
Honestly - the GOP is going to throw up this Hobson's choice when he takes office: do you want to fix the economy, or do you want to prosecute Bush?

3. As much as I despise the Bush* Cabal and have the deepest love and respect for our |
|
system of Law and Order, I would still have to go with Obama and the Change that is promised for our country.

Obama wins the Presidency and then begins the process that leads to the indictments of the entire Bush Cabal.
See what I did there? Pretty tricky, huh?

If the criminals have to get a pass in order to save America so be it.

6. I'll be the devil's advocate and go with the convictions |
|
Because despite the fact that we'd again have an incompetent Republican for at least four years, the precedent set that we would not allow criminal behavior by our elected officals, one that should have remained in effect after Nixon, would presumably prevent any further Presidents from being above the law. I don't believe our moral standing in the world's eyes will ever be truly repaired if we let these war criminals go unpunished. Flame away. S

8. I choose Obama winning but I will worry for the rest of my life |
|
I am convinced that if Nixon had been convicted along with his gang of crooks and if Reagan had been convicted for his crimes, we would not be in this mess now.
But I sincerely believe that the only chance for our country to recover is for Obama to win, even if the criminals currently in charge get a pass and open the country for the same abuses in the future.

9. Before he leaves office, |
|
bush will pardon himself and his cronies against any wrong doing. I would want Obama to win, but bush, cheney, and the others should be shunned and humiliated for the rest of their lives. bush is already going down in history as the worst president we ever had, and cheney and the others are tied into that history.

One, for the future.
Two, because it would be much easier for the Repubs to recover from the Bush administration's prosecution if they were also the party in control of the White House.
