Area code 308? Has anyone else received calls from this |
|
area code, which I believe is in Nebraska? I received several of these calls this summer; all with "unknown caller" on the caller ID. Today I talked with a friend who received a call this morning at 5:30am. I had thought when I was getting them, it was political calls and I didn't answer. Now I'm suspicious because my friend is a U.S. citizen from Thailand for the last 25 years. This year she is voting for Obama. I was with her when she registered since she had not done so since she moved from Boston last year. Just curious if anyone would know about this?

1. 308 is the western half Nebraska. I would guess it's from a call center. Try googling the number. |

The only calls I get from unknown callers are from my baby daddy in prison or prank callers.

You got calls from a "unknown caller" this summer. You assumed they were political calls so didn't answer the phone. Did you know that lots of business, colleges etc with large PBX type phone systems automatically block all outgoing calls? Could have been anyone from a bill collector to a college student to a phone solicitor to a political call..but you'll never know, you didn't answer the phone.
Now someone in western NE calls a friend of yours at 5:30 a.m. Did your friend answer the phone? Was it a political call? Maybe, just maybe it was a wrong number drunk dialed? NU (football) lost a game very badly last night...I'm know there was 1000's of upset drunks in the state last night and maybe someone mis-dialed a number? Living in Lincoln, NE I'm pretty sure that there is NO large scale political (or other) call centers located in any part of the 308 area code. For gawd's sake the largest "city" in the 308 area code has only about 70,000 people in it and the entire are code less than 500,000 (guessing). Anyway, I don't understand the correlation you are trying to draw between these calls. George Washington was a pres of the U.S. so was George W Bush...there is no relationship whatsoever other than they were presidents...kinda like your calls...they both were from one phone to another. Unless there is something that you are not telling us.
edited for clarity...
