Our local board of elections is predicting upwards of 90% of registered voters to vote

This is also our last election ever with those damned Diebold monsters. We're back to paper - PAPER - ballots next time.

Our neighbors to the south in Virginia are also scrapping their Diebolds.

I was just reading the Maryland Election Board's site and saw they are going back to paper as well as VA.

I just moved here, how do you think lines will be and such?

5. We're able to vote mid day. We've never encountered lines.

But I know they get a bit long after work hours.

We're out in the 'burbs. Closer to the city the lines tend to be longer. One of the kids and his wife lived in Catonsville until this August. They always had to wait 15 or 20 minutes.

4. 79% of registered voters in my precinct have already voted early.

Out of the 21% left, we know that some have probably moved and some won't vote.

And, though this is a heavily Republican precinct, the early Voting Workers think that there will be a lot more votes cast for Democratic candidates than formerly. People are really ticked about the present situation. She overheard lots of conversations while people were standing in (short) Early Voting lines.

Should be an interesting time when the votes are counted on Wednesday night.

7. 79% already voted? That is amazing

here in Ohio they are predicting 80% turnout and I was glad when I found out that about 20% of our precinct has voted early. I am thinking we will have some heavy lines at times. Day should go fast at least, then I can come home and watch the returns.

I'm an Inspector for this election, and I was also told to expect a 90% turnout, which I thought may have been somewhat exaggerated, but now you, from another part of the country, are throwing out the same figure. Maybe it could happen!
