It seems that Obama will have had more people at his rallies then McSame/barracuda will end up voting for them.

Here is a comment from the Springfield News Leader:

I'm a conservative Republican voting for a Democratic President for the first time in my life. Yes, I know he is a liberal; yes, I know he's pro-choice. But I've based far too many of my presidential choices on those two hot button issues for too many years.

This time I looked at everything both candidates were promising. I noted how they behaved under pressure in debates and I studied what I could find on both of them concerning their backgrounds (If you think Obama's got some shady connections, you should take a hard look at McCain's). Then I made my decision--not on e-mail forwards, not on the word of internet crazies, not on whether it was going to upset the people around me (including my own husband this time).

At the very least, Obama is paying attention to the needs of the working class. While I'm not interested in handouts, I want to know that my husband's current job won't go the way of his previous one (to Mexico), and I want to not have to worry about how on earth I'm going to afford health insurance this year for my family of six. Further more I want a president who is going to invest more of our nation's time and energy in seeking renewable energy than in putting more money in the pockets of big oil.

So far McCain is promising to put more money in the pockets of big business--oil, health insurance companies, and in foreign markets. He is promising more of what I voted for before (twice, God help me).

Enough already. As I've told my husband, even if Obama is lying (and I don't think he is)--at least the lies are new.
