I went to the Obama rally tonight

This is my first post ever on DU, other than replies, and tonight was my first ever political rally.

I'm too tired to write up an elaborate description but I wanted you to know that there were 35-40 thousand people there. The line I stood in was over a mile long. Seriously, over a mile long.

In Springfield, Missouri. Now that's something.

Now I need to go soak my aching feet.

Springfield is my old home and I am impressed that many people showed for Obama. I'm sure a bunch of people I know were there. Where was the rally?

I got there at 3:00PM and the line was already a quarter mile back. It really was something, you're right about that.
