Has grandkids(some biracial OMG!)way earlier than they wanted from unmarried children, or has a kid that's been a college sophmore for 8 years going, or has a kid upside down in debt from maxing out credit cards with status symbol bullshit they are too young to afford, or DUI's and problems with addictive drugs. But hey life happens, right!

All my friends who's parents were apolitical, moderate, or liberal have no unwanted kids, work responsibly, some make a lot of money some don't, rent and buy things they can actually afford, and are generally nice responsible people that don't burden society. Of course they do listen to devil music, smoke that horrible mariwanny plant, drink booze, use swear words, and have premarital sinful sexual relations.

Terrible what the lack of conservative influence is doing to our great nation.

4. Have a small business!

Some of my liberal friends have their own business that are successful and employ people. My closest (liberal) friend who has his own business was a Marine during the Vietnam era. The local Obama campaign office is being run out of their place of business.

Most of my liberal friends and their children are the most productive citzen in this area.

I consider myself to be very liberal. My daughter was selected to be a Citizen/ Scholar by the local Conservative newspaper. My son was President of his class.

And , yep, by golly gee, wink,wink I never shot a moose but I smoked some marrywanna and I listened to the devil's music.

5. I know 2 polar opposites with small bussineses

One lib, one con, both around 53-55 years old.

One has a kid that's spoiled rich kid(this guy is my mom's boss, btw) and that kid is an absolute worthless fucker with no future.

The lib one has a worthless kid, who lives like white trash because daddy gives him enough to scrape by.

So yeah, they have successful businesses, but they both have spoiled kids who will probably run them into the ground someday.

One because of a massive ego, the other because of a bleeding heart.

9. I'm always amused by the children of the stoned freaks

I ran around with in the 60s and early 70s. All of them are sober and hardworking and many of them not only went to university, they have advanced degrees and are working in their fields.

I have no idea whether the kids saw their parents as horrible examples they wanted to avoid (even though none of my friends continued to be particularly wild after the kids arrived) or if parents who escaped the mental and emotional chains of a 50s upbringing were just better parents. I just know the children of my vaguely Communist and drug soaked friends turned out a whole lot better than those of people I know who are always hanging onto the church and the local GOP party headquarters.

In any case, liberals and even libertines produced the future of this country. Conservatives only produce anchors dragging it down and backwards.

10. My daughter owns her own successful business & was raised as Liberal as it gets in the Midwest.

She has always been very dedicated to her goals and that has paid off with her own, nicely successful, business now. She works VERY hard, but believes We should help others.

She and my son lived around social abuse of drugs and alcohol in their adolescent years, though neither her Dad nor I are/were abusers. They just barely even drink alcohol now.

I had trouble getting them to come in on curfew when they were young, but I did not fight them over it, because I didn't want them going underground on me and everything else, grades etc. were fine.

They didn't play musical-chairs with members of the opposite sex in their highschool years and both are in stable happy marriages for several years now.

I've always been a Liberal and very outspoken and active on the issues whenever opportunties presented themselves; this does not seem to have harmed either one of my children.

I think the key is that my Liberalness allowed both of them to discover their OWN MOTIVATIONS for their lives which they've been able to follow autonomously. Because they are authentic people, they don't need to substitute phony lies and posing for their own experiences of LIFE.
