A question for our Ohio and Florida members......
I'm especially interested in the voting outcome in these two states, since I believe the last two stealections were rigged in these two states. I'm just wondering, if you live in either of these two states, how you think the votes will go this time? What are you hearing in your states that the rest of us do not hear? Are the people you know planning on voting for Obama more than mccain, etc.?

1. Tampa, Florida here.
Being on the far westerly end of the I4 corridor, I'm especially pleased with what I've seen. When I voted, acres of Obama bumper stickers. Every neighborhood I drive through, 90% Obama signs. Our election returns have been heavily cast by Dem registered voters in my county (Hillsborough). I know exactly one person that's voting for McCain and one that thinks she's voting for Palin :eyes: .

I'm certain the votes will go to Obama, at least in my area. However, never count Florida out for f'ing up an election and handing it back to them.

McCain sticker are starting to outnumber Obama's but not necessarily because there are more McCain supporters but because chances are your car could be "keyed" or someone in their truck would tailgate you and maybe take you off the road. I live in South Orlando, close to Kissimmee.

The "Hannity-Rush" followers at work are quiet and when they mumble something political it includes the word "socialist". They know Bush f@#$ed it up for the GOP but they are still voting reluctantly for McCain. I know of one who even knowing Palin is a total moron and McCain is an idiot he would still vote for a Republican because of his Religious "conviction". Another one who do not follow politics will vote for McCain (He is also a born again xtian fundie). I have seen Democrats calling Obama "scary" and they don't exactly tell why. They aren't saying who they are voting but based on their comments one is going with McCain and the other a "write in". I do know one Republican who is very enthusiastic about Obama and tells everyone he is going to win, he has not changed party affiliation but said the Republican party is dead.

IMO, it will be a close election in FL and McCain will prevail. Hispanics are divided (some for McCain and some for Obama) and like any other group, those with lower income will vote for McCain because of religion or race. The middle class will vote for Obama but MOST (Hispanics, not middle class) will stay home because they feel left out.

4. The breakdown as I read it:
North Florida (Jacksonville) and South West Florida (Naples) - McCain.
Central Florida (Orlando)- Toss Up.
South Florida (Fort Lauderdale)(Where I live) - Obama

This excludes any monkey business with the tabulation of votes.
I don't think Florida or Ohio would be used again. My guess is Pennsylvania, if they are even going to try it. But, I think the turnout is so overwhelming that it won't be possible.....

5. NE Ohio here. Our economy is getting clobbered here.
Traditional Democratic stronghold, so support for Obama is fairly good in my neck of the woods. Lots of Obama/Biden signs.

We do have SoS Brunner here now, and that's an enormous plus for our side. She's been fighting the Pukes tooth and nail on voter suppression, and winning every round in the courts.

We will have excellent weather here for Tuesday, voter turnout should be record-breaking which looks good for us. I had the early voting numbers around here somewhere, that's been very heavy also.

I am cautiously optimistic. No Republican has ever won the presidency without winning Ohio.

6. Funny, last election, in 2004
Republicans couldn't steal the Kerry signs here in S.E. Ohio. There were too many. There are very few Obama signs out now. But, there are as few McCain signs. People are seriously afraid of vandalism if they fly an Obama bumper sticker or sign, and rightly so. These McCain supporters know for certain that Obama is a Muslim secret agent bent on destroying America. I mean, these people are ignorant fucks.
