I keep hearing that a million people could show up at Grant Park in Chicago on Tuesday night
although only 68,000 will be allowed in to the fenced in, ticket holders only area.

I really, really hope everything goes well. Let's face it any time you get a crowd that huge, bad things are likely to happen- no matter how peaceful the crowd.

1. I have every confidence Mayor Daley will take care of it.
Even when the White Sox won the world series, the city stayed intact.

2. I'm not suggesting that the city won't stay intact
I am suggesting that it would be nothing short of a miracle for it to go off perfectly. 1 million excited people crammed together is just what it is.

3. Have you experienced any of the Obama rallies?
After having been to one, I am confident that it will be AMAZING and very few problems. It's going to be a joyous celebration like nothing we've ever seen before.

5. Better a million in Grant Park...
Than 25 million in D.C. to storm the castle if we get robbed again.

6. Daley is the one who wants a million to come
Chicago Parks and Chicago Police are saying people shouldn't come if they don't have tickets. Daley says "They should come if they want. It'll be a historic event. People want to be there. They should come down. Why not?"

There is no way Parks and Police will override Daley. Buses, trains and express lanes are all being set up to have a huge crowd attend the event.
