3. Sorry but they are not ending anymore then the democratic party disbanded after 2000 and 2004
Sure some will leave and go over to the libertarian party. But the republicon party will still be a thorn in the democratic side. Why? Because they are conservatives and conservatives have major problems with change. What they will do, count on it, is try to get control of both houses of congress in 2010 to sit up for 2012 or 2016, depending on how Obama does his first 4 years. After Nixon/Ford we thought we saw the end of republicons ever getting elected again.

We were wrong, in 6 short years the Republicons came at us with Reagan and the religious right, the rr surprised us liberals because we blew them off during the 70's and saw them as a bunch of clowns that put religious dogma before personal freedoms. It was until 1980 that we realized how big they had grown nor did we expect them to gain as much power as they did. What we are finding out is just how these people are single minded and set their goals on one issue never swaying or second guessing their actions.

I know its nice to dream, but remember this is not 1930's america and we will have to continue to work hard to keep Democrats in power. Meanwhile the republicon supporters will continue with their breeding program, expanding religion based schools and expanding their membership drives. We are at war, its a war without weapons but of minds, we have a big disadvantage we are individuals coming together. They on the other hand have leaders that do all of their thinking then tell them how to think while giving them the illusion that they are thinking for themselves.

Why do you think we are so surprised at freepers? That is what the republicon base looks like, no decent in the ranks, marching lock step towards a personal goal of religious dictatorship backed up with personal fire power for those who get in their way. I can almost predict what the next 4 years will be like, think McVeigh, Waco, Ruby Ridge, planned parenthood bombings, the murder of doctors and nurses. Remember conservatives never change tactics and the one will Sacrifice himself for the goals of all like him. McViegh picking a state with the death penalty wasn't a mistake, he planned it so he became a martyr for the cause.

4. We all celebrated the death of the Republican Party after Watergate too
Then they came back less than eight years later stronger than ever with that bastard Reagan.

The Republican Party has a base of support that they can rely on no matter how awful their actions. That base would vote for Bush again, no questions asked. That base is keeping McCain in this race. Don't "misunderestimate" the Republican Party's ability to benefit from the support of their base. They don't vote for or against their party based on what the party does, whether good or bad. They vote Republican because they hate us.
