Ads - all negative against every dem running - the redistribution of wealth has traction
they are the only ads running It is incredible - there is no other advertising other than election and the majority are attack ads with lies against all of our candidates - slease voices, or other really obnoxious voices and sayings - I have heard more people say they don't want to pay more taxes - they just don't get it - they are paying more for everything because of paying less at one level - roads, bridges, parks, libraries and education are cut and falling apart because they don't believe in working together for the greater good -

3. It has traction with the middle class - colleagues think it will be taken from them
whatever Obama says - people in the middle and lower class are afraid money will be taken from them to give to people who make even less or are jobless.

8. Jeebus what a Country!
people in the middle and lower class are afraid money will be taken from them to give to people who make even less or are jobless. :wow: So much for a rising tide lifts all boats.

These people don't know realize just how precarious their situation is, I guess?

One paycheck or health catastrophe away from the poor house, is where most of us are, right now.

10. these are the idiots that the ads are getting to -
also you know that guy (black guy) on Studio 60 who is now doing the news - he made a comment too about the spreading the wealth around comment - this is a guy who is on the way up to making lots of money - they just don't get it that they are shooting themselves in the foot - the repubs will take the money and right after the election give themselves a raise again like they do every year in congress.

4. Redistribution of wealth is the cornerstone of "Trickle-Down" economics
It is just being redistributed the "wrong" way. By no means is this concept foreign to the American capitalistic system.

9. they had good amount of ads at one point but now they are over
powered by all the dem candidates lying ads - I just turned to pbs to watch osmond special - will be back to tv when desparate housewives and brothers and sisters come on - I watch very little tv because it is junk but these horrible ads are a real deterrent to watching anything - they use dark pictures and mafia portrayals of others and then slander them

McCain campaign ads on steriods for these lesser candidates.

I am in orlando so it is really awful

Most of us Dems voted early if I count what the people looked like in the lines (yes I know I can't tell by looks) the lines have been incredible long - I went yesterday and voted downtown and still had to wait one hour - the place close to me the lines were four hours long and closed at 7pm but the last person voted at 10:30 pm last night.

20. Take comfort in that these are the last days they will annoy us
President Obama will restore the fairness doctrine and take other measures to ensure that lies such as this will not be an issue in future elections.

The reign of the Rethuglican party is at an end and will trouble us no more. You are simply witnessing their death throes.

21. The best response I heard was on CNN's Lou Dobbs
One of his panel asked another, who was attacking Obama for being a radical socialist, if it was socialism, since New York sent far more to the Federal Government than it got back. The Republican was jaw-dropped and got very pissy about it, before admitting that we do have socialism now. Even Lou admitted that after the Wall Street bailout, that everyone is a little bit socialist now and quickly moved on after the point was made that it was bullshit to call Obama a socialist.
