2. The polls have Obama leading 2-1. Where's the closeness?
Remember that we count electoral votes.

8. You haven't missed a THING. Early voting is coming 2-1 Democratic, and the polls are solidifying,
not tightening. Cheer up! :hi:

10. M$NBC is shilling for its corporate owners by intimating the "race is close"
in order to draw ratings and interest. They have dealt nothing but BS all day long. They are laughable with their posturing and deserve no audience with their skewed "reporting".

3. Same reason as always
Democrats have to buy commercials to get their word out, Republicans get it for free from all the Networks and newspapers.

16. A story I read yesterday,
about Britt Hume retiring, said he was convinced ABC had slanted 'librul', which is what made him decide to go to Faux.

5. Polls are 1 snippette of info, can be inaccurately expanded to show something
that isn't true.

6. If you are a fundy-RW who believed W was God's Gift
that Iraq had WMD's, that tax cuts for the rich trickle down to Real America(tm)
nnd that Sarah Palin is our Salvation. Would it really matter how much money Obama spent? About 40% of the voters are like that no matter what.

7. Cell phones and Caller ID
When you're predominantly polling corded phones, and people with Caller ID aren't answering calls from polling organizations, you're getting a mix of people who are more likely to vote Republican than the population at large.

For instance, Electoral-vote.com shows Obama winning California 61-35. I think it's more like 75-25.

9. When you take into account accusations of faulty surveying, racism prevalent in certain segments of
the population, the shitstorm the MSM has thrown at him since the primary, and saber rattling from the White House and McCain camp, I'm just happy he's leading at this point.

Besides, national polls don't mean a whole lot in an electoral college system, as stated above.

14. McCain gets much more free tv and radio time than Obama does - at least
that is the case here in Florida. Sadly, Barbara West is not the only biased "journalist" here.

15. Because if the MSM reported a blowout instead of a "tightening" race, ratings would tumble and...
the likes of GE stock would fall.

The gap is significantly wider than the last two elections.
