3. he was bizarre, wasn't he? wtf?
He acted like he was a victim somehow. Strange. Must be some kind of subset of sociopathic disorder...the righteous con man.

5. All I could think of when I saw that was
how could this idiot NOT know that it's illegal to impersonate a federal agent - or a police officer for that matter.

In addition, any arrests made would not stand up. Sure enough, they got around to talking about the multi-million dollar lawsuits against the city of Gerald.

6. Just saw it.
He was batshit crazy, so convinced his actions were for the good of others.

Remind you of anyone we know?

8. Was this the guy in Missouri?
I didn't see the 60 minutes episode, but it sounds similar to a (rather bizarre) story I read some time ago ...

10. Con artists are seldom brought to justice
It's hard to believe but there are thousands of con-artists plying their 'trade' across America. He went on TV because he wanted the thrill and the fame, he cared nothing for his victims, in fact, like a typical con-artist he blamed his victims. Did you see those tears? HE was the victim, HE was the "hero".... I wish law enforcement would do more about con-artists like this.
