Can anyone explain to me why
a guy making 30 grand a year tops is all bent out of shape because the rare 1% of Americans making $300,000 or more a year MIGHT get popped for $1500 more in federal income taxes at worst to keep sick Grandmas and toddlers from ending up living in boxes under the interstate bridges?

I can't figure out how this makes sense.

4. It doesn't. Don't bother to figure out how it makes sense.
That's a big dirty word. I really do hope that this nonsense of 'ignorance being chic' disappears once we get responsible people back into leadership positions.

6. I've not figured it out either.
I do not understand why sharing the wealth is supposed to be an argument stopper, either.

7. It doesn't make sense...
...unless you factor in those who are easily swayed by propaganda from the right wing.

8. Because he or she still believes that.......
Republicans care about them! In their little minds they also think that one day they might become rich and then have to pay those taxes. Either way they can go ahead and vote against their own personal interests, some people never change and they are a prime example of this.

10. Hey, I'm from Canada. We don't mind taking a small amount more
from the wealthiest to keep our society sound. The wealthiest benefit the most, therefore, they should pay more. It is only fair.

The more you make, the more you pay.
The less you make, the less you pay.

11. I sure as hell don't understand it..
All I know is that is the only way in hell they can get elected pushing "supply side" redistribution schemes that only help at most 1% of the population at the expense of everyone else.

13. Add me to the list.
I've got several Republicans to admit that they would do better with a Democratic government. And they won't change their minds.

17. Because the grandmas and babies didn't EARN it.
You just hit on the central tenant of the Republican party - selfishness.
