1. I voted
when MacMaverick concedes. But I seriously do not think he ever will. He is way too small.

4. There won't be any relief. Not in my lifetime anyway.
Never again will I trust the power elite. Never. Barack Obama will do a wonderful job and will swing the pendulum back some. But then there's the next POTUS/congress to contend with.

I went through a period of doing my duty and voting who I thought was best and grumbling when my lot suffered. Not until BushInc did I realize that is just not enough.

8. There'll be some relief when Obama is announced the winner and McCain concedes
But as for the big sigh of relief? That won't be until Obama is sworn into office and Bush can't harm the world like he used to anymore.

and on Tuesday night when the Democrats have a majority in the Senate and an even larger majority
in the House and when a newly elected Democratic nominee is handed the keys to the White House.

Then I'll be happier and will catch up on my sleep... for a while. ;) It's been a long 8 years.

15. In about 2 years when the US military is completely out of the middle east...
...the defense budget is cut in half, we have a decent workable plan for single payer health care, and we are well on our way to leading the world in alternative and renewable energy research and development.

16. When Virginia calls it for Obama then I will believe it is ours.
Virginia's polls close at 7:00PM Eastern time. We should know by 9:00PM Eastern Time whether it will be a landslide or a barn burner. I believe it will be a blowout for Obama...

with no casualties. Kids on their way to college, marriage still intact... and still maintaining at least 50% presidential popularity.
