Man Says He Planned To Break Into Police Station For Food

VERMILION, Ohio -- Vermilion police arrested a man under unusual circumstances, NewsChannel5 reported.

An officer spotted 20-year-old Joshua Geisel outside the Vermilion Police Station at about 1:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Police said he was wearing a long black trench coat and holding two hammers. He told officers he was now homeless and was working up the courage to break in.

He told police he knew he would either be shot or taken to jail, where he would at least have a roof over his head and food to eat.

Geisel was charged with aggravated trespass and possession of criminal tools.

He was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation and will be given a court date upon his release.

went outside & at there waiting to be arrested.. he had been diagnosed with cancer, had nowhere to live and no medical insurance, so he hoped he'd get taken to jail , so he might get medical care :(
