MSNBC and CNN just gave two total different Narratives of the Race!
MSNBC giving Obama a "Narrow" lead, and up in only 4 of 8 battleground races. They don't provide what polls they are referring to.

CNN giving Obama a broader lead, 7 points nationally, and saying that he is ahead in nearly all of the battleground states.

:wtf:

1. CNN is closer to the truth.
And Obama's lead is actually higher than that.

They're cadging because of the probable
vote suppression and stealing by the Reeps.

3. Maybe the parent company of MSNBC, General Electric, is afraid of less war under Obama?
General Electric is one of America's largest defense contractors, raking in billions in contracts for the development and manufacture of machinery used in war from jet engines to engines used in tanks.

6. Think so? Between 1994 and 2000, GE stock went up 550%...
Between 2000 and now it went down 67%

I think they should realize they do lots better without war.

4. MSNBC has been extremely conservative in their
polling and reporting of data throughout the election. Those of us who have been following this get it.

That is what is going on

CNN has been more liberal in their interpretation

Me... if MSNBC has given him a lead... MOST PROBABLY he has it.

5. Not as bad as rassuem
Apprently McCain is ahead.

For once Gallup has it right, they are saying Obama is 55% to 44% ahead, nationwide.

8. CNN international had Jon King, showing it is near impossible for McSame to win
he has to sweep ALL their tossups PLUS take blue leaning states NH and Iowa where he is making stops.

Pretty interesting.

9. Well, it IS a narrow lead
Credit David Axelrod for making sure the electoral college chances are maximized. This is analogous to the ingenious use of the caucuses during primary season. The numbers have been consistently supported by the "ground game". Even 1% is Good Enough.

I'll feel a LOT better tomorrow night around 10 EST when I hear Keith or Tweety announce "MSNBC is projecting that with the addition of Montana's 3 electoral votes, Barack Obama has won the Presidential Election."

And then there's all those down-ballot offices that will be going Democratic.

10. Not until after 11, right?
Don't some West Coast polls close at 8 their time?

Oh, please, tell me I'm wrong.

Every hour counts.

12. I thought they started the tally immediately when the polls closed
If not, I have a poll of my own that's shot to hell.

15. The networks decided a while back
not to call a winner until the polls on the West Coast closed.

It was unfair, calling a winner before people out West had had a chance to vote.

11. Depends on who you're listening to on MSNBC. Chuck Todd has been walking a tight line...
for weeks not seeming to want to be seen as an Obama agent, which is prolly a good call. But he's been nearly giddy with what his numbers are indicating in the rush-up

14. Ha! It was reversed this morning
MSNBC has shown Obbama with a greater lead than CNN most of the time I've tuned in. Maybe it depends on whose show it is.

16. Can someone tell me where they get their numbers for ALL 50 states?
Many states they ignore...how do they know who these states are going to vote for? There's lots of red states in the middle of the map.

My big worry is the republicans are going to steal this election right
under our noses as they have for the last 8 years.
