The "boo" lines are quite telling, and they show us what we are up against. I know there is a crowd-mentality that takes over, but those damned codewords republicans love so much, are at the heart of the schizoid dilemma of America..

Republicans don't even realize the ambiguity of their actions..

A 20K a year waitress from Kentucky will BOOOOOOOO her lungs out when she's tossed a cavalier "San Francisssssssco", but will CHEER like crazy when "capital gains tax cuts", is tossed out there.. This woman wouldn't know a capital gain if it bit her nose off.

Republicans are ALL about M O N E Y & P O W E R ..and in any order, because each leads to the other. To GAIN power, they must somehow convince people to allow them into the bedroom, into the gun cabinet and into the pulpit.

A donut shop owner with 2 employees has to be convinced that their "small business" will be decimated if a democrat is in charge, even though most months they probably don't even break even..let alone make a profit.

Republicans MUST make common people overlook the exaggerated wealth of their spokespeople, idolize & excuse the flagrant excesses of the Wall Streeters, and yet demonize other $20k a year people, because they look different.

There is NO difference between a San Francisco waitress, who makes $20K a year..has a couple of kids..a car payment... and a motel maid in Frankfort , or Nashville , or Orlando . Probably none of these women will ever be "well-off"..They are doomed to struggle their whole lives because of what they do..not who they are or where they live, or their political party.. A few bad choices made early in their lives set their course.

Republicans rely on ignorance & gullibility, just as any carnival game operator knows...or any ponzi schemer...or a run of the mill con artist.

The republican platform is NOT "people-friendly".. It never has been, and it never will be. They are noted for voting against almost everything that has or would have helped the "little guy".. Why? Because "little guys" only matter when they need votes.

Making people "the other", is the only way they know, to get ordinary people despise other ordinary people they don't know, and will never meet.

The simplest of things can be demonized.. "veggie-eaters" are somehow effete and elite, and sooooooo different, yet every farmer I ever knew (many in my own Kansas family) had a very BIG "family garden", and at a LOT of homegrown veggies...and they were ever ORGANIC (gasp!!)..

Every poor person I ever knew growing up would have thrown out their chest in pride, had their child been accepted into Stanford or Berkeley (a few I knew, did)..

How many of the republican faithful watched the champagne parties of those young wall-streeters, on tv..and lived vicariously through them via their precious 401-ks...all the while just KNOWING that those smart young people were looking out for them....not!

But a community organizer is a "suspicious character" because they choose to work FOR poor people, for little pay.

Isn't Tom Delay an "organizer"?..aren't ALL republican politicians and evangelical ministers "community organizers"?

Those words tossed out like crumbs to the starving, have to be reclaimed, and used correctly, because they are good words, true words, words we should aim to be.

Elite.. who wants a NON-elite doctor

Liberal.. Doesn't everyone want a liberal dose of freedom, money, health, good luck?

Left... Right hand left hand..right foot left foot.. its' just 1/2 of what we can be

Unions... doesn't the marriage ceremony bless the "union" of the couple.. It's just a word that means togetherness

Community organizer... who wants to live in a dis-organized community?

Raise taxes....Things cost more, why should taxes decrease? Would you want your wages to go down?

Green... It's not easy being green these days.. No harm in saving the earth...just benefits.. Why is it macho & acceptable to destry the planet? especially since it's the only one we have..

There are many more I have not listed.. add yours..
