who held voter drives;
who volunteered their time and their efforts to the campaign and GOTV efforts;
who donated what they could, when they could and however they could, time or money, to local and and national campaigns;
who worked at local and state levels to reform election processes and to elect officials who would reinstate fairness procedures;
who talked to their neighbors, friends, and relatives and helped persuade them with patience (even as patience wore thin);
who became the point person at work, at school, waiting for the bus - the person people have gone to when they needed that extra bit of understanding of an issue and who gave that extra bit of information or direction or encouragement to those who needed that to nudge for them to take part;
who met together at the campaign and called;
who used up their cell minutes calling people from home;
who tried in ways small or large to make this difference, to effect this change.
We're almost there and all I've noted that we're doing, we will be continuing tomorrow, each in our own way and and all to a positive outcome.
It all adds up and it all matters and it's part of what makes me happy to be part of this community of DU.
