What to do on election day? |
|
If you haven't voted yet, then go right now and vote. Take someone with you.
Proudly display your American flag. United again, finally.
Wear blue.
Drive with your headlights on during the day. Republicans are asked to drive without their headlights after dark to show their support for their candidate.
If you have any democratic signs, stickers, etc. on your car then represent. Use your manners. Be cordial to others. With all of the undecideds, you never know what may sway their vote(probably not to bright you know).
When you see known repugs looking all gloom and doom, try to wipe that big ass smile off of your face. Okay,so don't try. Just try not to gloat to much.
If you have a religion, say a prayer for Toot and the Obama family.
Stop for a moment.Take a breath.Be proud that in our country we have a system that we have a democratic process that allows us to vote for such spectacular leaders as Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
My family is doing all of the above. In honor of the next POTUS we are having a small party complete with a salad with arugula (remember this?) and pie with blueberries and cherries in the design on top of the Obama logo.
Thanks to all for such a great election season! It really helps for someone from a red state to be able to come here and reclaim their sanity.
