Could not sleep last night, kept waking up as if I were a child on Christmas Eve.

I have had plenty of coffee, probably too much.

Our polls open at 7am, I will give them some time to get everything in proper order. I live in a very small town in Northern Florida and have never had to wait to vote. But this is also a very red part of town, so there may be a few people there today, even though our county is blue.

This is just so exciting, I can't believe the day is finally here.

46. I've a great little story for you

Hubby and I just got back from voting here in VA. The line was short in our precinct, so we headed out for some breakfast afterwards. We ate and as we were going to our car, we noticed a tall, well-dressed, distinguished, 40-ish, A-A gentleman who had parked next to us was getting out of his car.

He immediately noticed our "I voted" stickers and with GREAT he enthusiasm stuck out his hand to congratulate us. He pointed to his "I voted" sticker too, as he pumped both of our hands up and down.

And we noticed his very thick Caribbean accent. THIS WAS HIS FIRST ELECTION as a naturalized citizen of the U.S. !!

We said "OBAMA, RIGHT?" He said, "YES, YES, of course!" He was SOOOOO Happy!

I didn't think anyone could be more pumped than we were, but we immediately found someone who literally could not contain himself. We were a little worried that he'd run into the McCain voters inside the restaurant who'd not appreciate his enthusiasm. But he made our day----so far, and we hope it's only going to get better!

What a day, what an exciting day!

This job isn't done yet...today's the hardest part. Lets get our vote out and out big...too big than this election can't be stolen or ever disputed.

Today's just the start of taking out country back...a big step and one that makes me extremely optimistic, but also cautious as I expect we'll find a lot of landmines left behind by this regime and a corporate media ready to pounce at a second's notice. No letting up...there are still calls to make and people to get to the polls.

Cheers to all...here's hoping this is a day we all will remember as a great day in our country's return to sanity...and we were all a big part of it.
