1. WE have to go wayyyyyy back for mine
It was the 2004 Democratic Convention. A skinny kid with a funny name gave a speech. I picked up the phone and called my son, who was sure to be a sleep at that time and said:
"My hair is standing straight up, I have witnessed history. I have just met the first black President of the United States."

4. The day Hillary conceded ...
not because I didn't want her to win (I supported both and intended to support either one through hell or high water), but because on that day, there was that first feeling of UNITY. That we were all in this together and we are all going to WIN!

17. I was mezmerized by the 'staged' moment when she 'stopped' the roll call
It was a very cathartic moment which I'll remember her by.

7. The day Obama picked Biden as his running mate
My heart sang! I already liked Obama but I've loved Biden for a long time. He's as real a person as a politician can be. When others wince at his so-called gaphs, I just love him more for being plain spoken and real.

Choosing Biden showed me he's serious about his intentions.

10. When Hillary called to nominate Obama by acclamation
That was a great piece of unifying political theater.

I never doubted that all would be well after the primaries; in fact, I didn't think the primaries were all that harsh. But they sharpened everyone's skills and the aftermath taught us about unity in a way no amount of preaching could.

Now, we have to build on that ...

16. When Obama made 8 out of 10 3-pointers for the troops in Iraq...
Something a lot of NBA professionals would be hard-pressed to do. It showed how much confidence he really had, in my opinion.
