I voted in Michigan - about a 45-minute wait
We got there at 8 and were out after about 45 minutes. I was number 196. There were 17 spots to vote at, and there are usually only 6! My district usually goes Republican so I'm interested to know if more liberal districts have as many voting spots as mine had.

4. We just fill in ovals and then run them through a scanner
But there are usually these fold-up tables to vote at, and usually only 6. This time they had more fold-up tables, plus they had a cafeteria table out with cardboard barriers between sections so you could have privacy and sit at one of many spots there.

There were more spots than necessary - it took the election workers longer to do the paperwork than for the spots to clear out, so there were two to three vacant spots at all times.

2. My parents live in a condo in downtown Detroit....They said their polling station was INSANE!
Line stretching wayyyy down the street. They left and plan to go back about 11ish.

3. ours usually has 4. Today ther were many more. I would say at least 20
they had them set up on tables with chairs for people to use. I didn't see anyone challenging or any observers. It took me about 20 minutes to complete the process. There was a short line at the door with the hold up being the poll workers checking ID repeatedly.
