In anticipation of the massive traffic tonight at Du, can we begin to exercise some self discipline |
|
now?
Tonight we do not need multiple singe post threads which all say the same thing, usually in 10 words or less. I realize that people are ecstatic to have voted, but does every person need to start a new thread proclaiming it? If people refuse to discipline their posting habits now, then I would hope a 3 new thread limit will be imposed tonight to help keep DU up and running well.

2. The Number Of Duplicate Threads Has Nothing To Do With Bandwith. |
|
With the excitement that will be generated tonight, this would be the WORST possible time to bitch and moan about duplicate threads or to want thread limits. Let there be free reign tonight and let us all celebrate together, within as many threads as we desire!!

3. I doubt a post in a thread vs a posted new thread consume much different database resources. |

And I agree with OMC on bandwidth issue as well.
Accept it will be a zoo and make sure your donor status is up to date.
