Just got back from voting...

Had a choice between a paper ballot and the touch screen. I chose the paper ballot.

There was a small line when it opened but it has settled down to just a steady stream now. It is a small precinct where a lot of people have already voted early.

There was an official Obama-Biden campaign van in the parking lot. It had a large picture of the junior Senator from Illinois on the side of the van. Next to him was a picture of Abraham Lincoln and the third picture was Barack Obama looking like Abraham Lincoln, beard and all.

There was a referendum on the ballot which required a larger majority to change the state constitution than to simply change statutory laws. They would require at least 8% vote in every Congressional District in order to be approved.

There was also a measure to make a "person" out of a zygote.

Also, there was a measure to tax all minerals and natural resources taken out of the ground in the state of Colorado.

There were 3 measures to prohibit the union movement in Colorado from participating in the political process as they have done in the past.

I took my dog with me. He wanted to go and see what all the commotion was about. They wouldn't let him vote so he stayed in the car. :-)
