i am a single issue voter |
|
i am a single issue voter for the first (and only) time in my life. if we want to recover our standing in this world and hope to have the american flag mean something then we need a total do-over. we need to gently but expeditiously let go of iraq and quickly and sincerely find and kill osama bin laden.
anything that the next administration wants to do after that, is ok with me as long as it represents the will of the majority of the people while respecting the rights of the minority at the same time. but starting over and doing what should have been done in the first place is the priority for me.
i would have been happy with an obama campaign slogan of "obama is osama's worst nightmare". or, go obama, get osama".
how this country and its "leadership" can walk away from capturing the man who killed 3000 of our citizens and destroyed half of new york city is beyond my wildest nightmares.
so, after obama wins this thing, please join with me and remind him of his promise to "get real" in iraq and "get busy" in afghanistan.
thanks for listening..

1. I guess in some ways, I am too |
|
my single issue is Equal Rights.
Equal voting rights, equal marriage rights, equal rights to worship or not how one chooses, equal rights to speak or not without being called a terrorist, equal rights for education and in many other areas.
The idea that someone can vote against equal rights on the hope that they may save a few bucks down the road is fucking ridiculous. Not to mention stupid considering that (a) Obama will not spend your money the way McCain will with his warhawk ways, so the whole false socialist BS is out the window too.
This is America.
