Well not me but the woman in the article is my kind of voter. She refused to reverse her shirt so she took it off and voted for Obama! :-)

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6093076.html

Another voted in her bra
During early voting, the clerk's office got a report of a woman who showed
up to a polling place in west Harris County wearing an Obama T-shirt.

She was told she could cover the shirt up, turn it inside out, or not wear
it. She chose not to wear it, and voted in her bra.

De Leon could not say whether the polling places had a "no shirt, no shoes,
no service" policy.

County leaders for both the major political parties agreed that Hurley's
treatment seemed unjust. It's the kind of thing poll watchers will be
looking out for today, said Jared Woodfill, chairman of the Harris County
Republican Party, which will have close to 1,000 members posted at polling
sites countywide.

"Next thing you know, people are going to be kicked out for wearing Arizona
shirts," he said. "Obviously, this poll worker was not educated in polling law."

Poll workers undergo training by the clerk's office, but the training does
not go into great depth regarding what should be considered campaign clothing.

"It should be pretty obvious," Woodfill said. "It's not much of a gray area."

11. A woman wearing a shirt that said Alaska almost couldn't vote
A vacation T-shirt causes a flap at polls
Woman wearing Alaska souvenir nearly denied a vote

Ginger Hurley could not have picked Sarah Palin out of a sea of hockey moms when she vacationed in Alaska this June.

snip

Hurley, who votes in every election, is familiar with poll site etiquette. She knows not to wear campaign paraphernalia. She's never run into trouble before.

What, she asked, was wrong with her light blue cotton T-shirt, emblazoned with a moose head, fishing poles, and the words "Seward, Alaska"?

The word "Alaska," a poll worker answered.

"She said it could be misconstrued as support for a candidate," Hurley said.

She argued with the poll worker, but neither one backed down. The worker told Hurley she could go into the bathroom and flip her shirt inside-out. She even offered duct tape to cover the offending word. Hurley refused. Finally, outraged, she stormed out of the polling place.

"I couldn't believe she wouldn't let me vote because of my vacation T-shirt," Hurley said this week. "Every time I talk about it, my blood boils."

Cooler heads prevailed in the parking lot, and a campaign volunteer urged Hurley to check with the precinct judge overseeing the polling site.

The judge took a look at the shirt and let her vote. She didn't even need duct tape.

22. That was one stupid poll worker.
I was taught in poll worker training that if there is a dispute of any kind it's automatically turned over to a precinct supervisor or judge. This woman should not have had to leave before being told by an outside volunteer that she could appeal to a higher authority than a run-of-the-mill poll worker.

24. Well, the woman didn't have to leave.
All she had to do was turn it inside out or cover it up. She didn't want to do that. I know it was only a souvenir tee shirt but because she raised such a stink, I think she knew it would cause problems. She was just looking for 15 minutes of fame (just like the bra lady) and the chronicle gave it to her.

34. How could you predict that?
How could someone predict that a shirt that reads "Seward, Alaska" would be construed as electioneering? Who or what is that shirt advocating for or against? Not sure? -- that's because it's not. Because one candidate for one office on the ballot comes from the same state as your t-shirt is a pretty l--o--n--g stretch to make to accuse someone of grandstanding.

36. Oi... so if I showed up at the polls this morning with my Alaska vest
I am electioneering and asking for fifteen minutes?

For the record hubby grabbed his Alaska jacket walking out the door on his way to vote... he had no trouble at all

By the way my vest is very cozy thank you very much and it was COLD this morning (by Cali standards)

No, the poll worker was wrong

The woman wearing that obama shirt WAS engaged in electioneering, on the other hand

38. I have to agree
I would have a fit if someone came in wearing a McINSAME shirt or button. One time there was some ass outside the poll holding a sign for some rePUKE (it's been awhile so I can't remember who it was for sure but I think maybe chimp in 2000) so I complained to the poll worker and they made them leave. }( :P
