Kids say the darndest things!

I took the day off work yesterday and my wife and I went to early vote at our county election board. We took our 2 year old daughter with us (she will be 3 in January). We have optical scan machines that suck the ballot in and she loves to put the ballot in the machine.

So she puts my ballot in and jumps and laughs when the machine takes it from her. Then she puts my wife's ballot in and does the same. The poll worker watching said "yay, you voted!" to which my daughter replied "I voted for Bawack Obama, NOT MCCAIN!!" :rofl:

The whole place just erupted in laughter and I scooped her up and admonished her about campaigning in the polling place as we headed out the door. :D

14. I took my 6 year old with me when I went to vote

and she asked all sorts of questions about voting. I explained to her about how people couldn't electioneer within a certain number of feet from the poll. While I was voting she kept asking if she could press the buttons on the computer. When I handed my card into the election judge she was very proud about "voting". The judge gave her one of the "I voted" stickers which made her even happier.
