Every vote counts even if it appears that it is a landslide. As an emerging Obama win becomes more apparent you will see the message that you do not have to vote. Make this your personal pilgrimage and sacrifice to stand in even the longest of lines. Never give UP!!!!

4. Awesome advice. Everyone is well advised to adhere to these sound words. |

Vote. Wait as long as it takes. Make sure you have ID, even if you shouldn't need it. Don't let anyone tell you it's over.
VOTE VOTE VOTE!

6. Anyone have any real life actual examples of Obama supporters being compacent |
|
because I have seen and continue to see people waiting for hours to vote in states where Obama already has a big lead. I have seen no examples of complacency.

13. Complacency is an illusion, it does not exist, so what's to be supportive of? |
|
Does anyone actually believe that it is McCain supporters who are so excited and fired up that they would wait in lines for hours to vote. There is no example or evidence of complacency.
We know enough not to be complacent. What next? Tell us not to put our hands on a hot stove?

Why do you feel the need to snipe at me from a distance? Seems ridiculous when we should be celebrating with one another. You and I most likely have 99% in common with our views, yet you feel the need to take out your anger (or whatever this is) on me, when it is better served using it productively.
My post was meant to be one of the many out there to continue to rile people up. Just because you and I plan on staying to the end does not mean that other people feel the same way.
As for not reading my posts, why would I possibly care what you read? I am dumbfounded that you have such a childish, negative reaction to a post that is meant to fire people up. The republicans use dirty tricks and the media is often complicit with it. If Obama seems to be winning battleground states, some west coasters (whose polls are open later) may become complacent. The point is that we NEED to drive this victory HOME with as much of a respons possible so that NO form of election fraud will occur.
Make peace with yourself brother, I am not your enemy.

9. No...can anyone imagine an Obama supporter saying "Oh well, I guess I won't vote today." |
|
It's nonsense. But keep people pumped up anyway.
More likely, you'll see depression of the GOP vote, since a Mccain win seems increasingly unlikely.

11. DO NOT BECOME COMPLACENT |
|
I couldn't agree with you more, I am rather isolated, voted a few weeks ago, please let me know what the lines feel like, I'm living on the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica and I don't receive much first person information. Please let me know what the general feeling is, I'm watching the news stations on cable (yes, believe it or not I have cable) but its not the same. Thank You, If one of you could start a thread on voting today, the general feeling, what the word is on the street, I would be eternally grateful.

12. Huge lines here in Southern California |
|
I'm in a very blue part of Los Angeles and the lines are crazy long. My roomie was in line at 7:45 and still had to wait an hour. I had a co-worker who was in line by 8:00 and had to leave at 8:50 to come to work. She said she was still at the end of a very long line. She'll be trying again later today.

Most everyone here voted early by mail in. There are no lines any where that I have heard of.
Maybe L.A. should try that next time.

23. That is a very good point |
|
freepers and neocons and theocrats and repugs are scared shitless that "oh, noes!!11!1 o'bama and the negroes and the socialist liberals will take over!11!!" and there are the others that aren't happy/very scared that a black man is actually a candidate for President of the United States and may have to vote for him--maybe. Scared people are irrational people, the above mentioned dullards even more so.
They've voted against their best interests before, they can do it again. If Obama wasn't "the black guy with the funny name", this wouldn't be a contest.
Please vote. :patriot:
