Seriously. In between the youth vote, a more empowered black vote, growth of citizens in the large metro areas and more and more latino voters who have the right to vote Texas is predicted to be a swing state by 2012 or 2016.
The solid south is dying. Virginia, NC and Florida are all swing states. Georgia and Texas will be swing states by 2012 due to the reasons above (big minority populations, more youth, people from out of state moving in, bigger metro areas).
