Tomorrow there will still be a disproportionate number of African American men in prison and on death row. Tomorrow a white person will still be more likely to make more money at the same job than a black person, and be more likely to be hired in the first place. Tomorrow there will still be people who see people with slightly different skin tones as lesser than them, as not quite human.
Institutional racism cannot be defeated by a single election. This is a huge step and a culmination of centuries of battles, but the war is still going on.
