Nation watches as a divided California votes on same-sex marriage

A measure to ban gay marriage was leading in early returns primarily from conservative counties but exit polls showed the race as too close to call.

1. I'm not even gonna try to get any sleep tonight...
Wouldn't be able to with Prop 8 weighing on my mind. Ah well. I have faith in my brothers and sisters from Cali.

2. Seriously? I very very sadly don't think 8 will lose
I would love to be proven wrong; I donated and worked for this one, and it breaks my heart, but look at this map:

This divide is no huge surprise, in California, and I'm proud to say in my county Prop 8 was TROUNCED, but the Yes campaign was well funded their ads, while completely full of shit, were everywhere.
