has anyone else noticed this?
On TV I switched channels NBC ABC MSNBC etc...

And the people talking to each other seemed so RELAXED now.
They let each other finish sentences. They didn't hurry up the lady historian and let her speak her piece. They were so civil, they were smiling, and watching them it was missing that bit chomping anxiety to shut up the other speakers and get the last word in crap I have seen too much of out of reporters and commentators before Obama became President.Hell, they even said on MSNBC the words "Peace Corps" over and over and spoke about the feeling of empowerment in the youth of that day,the sixties were..as if it was a GOOD thing.
They even showed the celebrations in Kenya!
How long has it been since TV news even reported anything and had visuals too from anywhere in Africa??

And I nearly cried when Obama in his acceptance speech mentioned two issues never addressed enough,in politics ,the poor and the disabled. It was so amazing for once to not be made INVISIBLE again but to feel as if the PRESIDENT actually knows we exist. And isn't ashamed to acknowledge us,as part of this country too.

The change has already started. And I want to see more of it.

3.  olbermann, rachel colbert and daily show
and local news for the weather.
All other times it's sci fi,comedy,PBS,history channel discovery or cartoon network. And that was not all that often.
On occasion I would in passing catch a whiff of the viciousness.
I heard from others how bad it really was.My momentary observation as I flipped channels was enough.

I was watching the election coverage. After Obama was elected,it seemed to change.
