3. My daughter is there.
She was one of the lucky ones who had a ticket to get in.

She text messaged me early in the evening, telling me that she was there with 69,999 of her new friends. They were excited but orderly.

She called me back twice, once to tell me that the race had been called for Obama. The noise was deafening and I could barely hear her.

She called me again just before he came out to speak. She was ecstatic. She promised me pictures via cell phone, but I haven't gotten any. She deserves to have a good time, so I don't mind at all. Like everyone else in this family, she worked hard for Obama.

My son spent his 27th birthday as an election judge in a red county, Du Page. Their county board went from zero to three Democrats on the board. I lived there in the seventies. We had one Democrat on the county board. They have not had anyone since she retired.

I kept the Democratic headquarters open in our county tonight. Democrats came in to watch the returns, eat pizza and munchies, and rejoice. Tomorrow I will go clean the place.

I am satisfied that my family contributed to this historic event.
