1. Senate:
We took NH, NC, OR, NM, CO,

We'll see about MN, AK, and GA.

55 so far, without traitor joe. 58 best case.

4. that's the 56-40 that CNN has
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 02:12 AM by hfojvt
with perhaps 4 to still be decided (Minnesota, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon - I think) We need all 4 of those plus Liebersh*t to have a fillibuster-proof majority.

edit: oops, I confused House and Senate  but we lost at least one (albeit a blue-dog) in the House in my own district :argh:

3. it's still up in the air
and CNN and such give varying totals. Two we lost locally is that I now have a Republican Congresswoman in Lynn fu$%ing Jenkins and former KC Mayor Kay Barnes lost to Republican incumbent Sam Graves in Missouri.

Also, I think results are still coming in from the West Coast and Alaska. The Franken race in Minnesota is still undecided and so is Stevens in Alaksa. CNN keeps showing 56-40 for the Senate, but nothing for the House.

Dole got beat in NC, Saxby-Chambliss (R-a$$wipe) held on in Georgia and so did Mitch McConnell (Senate fillibuster leader) and Collins (R-semi moderate) in Maine. Stevens (R-convicted felon) is still being tabulated in Alaska.

6. the AP map seems fairly up-to-date

although I did not check the House totals just now. I also find it kinda clumsy to navigate with my slow internet connection.
