Mahoney was going to lose, nothing he could do about it, and really, good riddance.

But no other incumbent Democrats lost? Landrieu survived the only semi-at-risk Senate race.

That makes two elections in a row, then, that Democrats have not lost anything. That's a significant realignment right there.
