For those who have been the victims of racism, this must feel pretty damn good. |

But, I grew up in the late 60's. I remember the 60's very well. And what a day this is to remember. The REAL America has spoken, and spoken loudly.

I had a wise old teacher who once said, "The greatest delusion human beings have is that I am here (pointing to himself) and you are out there (pointing at us, his students). I think when Obama talks about how we're not red states or blue states but the United States, he's addressing that essential problem we have with identity, who we think we are, what we identify ourselves as. When we engage in stealing, or warfare, it's because we don't know who we are, or that we're really just hurting ourselves. We cling to our false identities and fear the other, when the other is really our brother. (or sister) :-)
